Tasks, projects, and workflows in Bundled Notes
Bundled Notes supports a few different ways to structure tasks, projects, and ongoing workflows. You can configure these features differently in each bundle, or combine them inside the one bundle for advanced workflows.
There are two main ways to manage workflows in Bundled: via tag features, and via Kanban boards.
Tag features vs. Kanban
Tag features add workflow features to entries that use that tag.
Kanban boards change the layout of a bundle so that entries are organised visually into columns.
You can use either - or both - of these tools in the same bundle.
Tag features explained
Tag workflow features allow you to turn entries into tasks, or add actions to entries, based on their tags.
This is what makes tag-based workflows flexible: you are not setting up a single workflow for everything in a bundle. Instead, you can give specific entries extra behaviors based on its tags, so you can manage tasks alongside other notes and media, all in the same bundle.
The next page covers the specific tag features in more detail, but in general they are best for checkbox task management and simple archive or tag swap workflows.
When to use Kanban boards
It's best to enable Kanban mode when you'd like a board of phases or states in your bundle. Think: project bundles, pipelines, shopping or wish-list collections.
You could also use Kanban boards just to create 'separated' sub-lists within a bundle, for example, you might have a shopping list bundle with columns for different categories.
