A message from the developer...
There are many features planned for Bundled Notes. But since the project is managed by me, a solo developer, I have to make priority decisions based on a mix of user feedback, my own vision for the app, and what is actually feasible to build within a reasonable timeframe.
This means that a feature you want isn't planned immediately... but I'm always open to feedback, so if you think something is missing, or I've got it wrong, join the community and let me know!
The Pillars
These are the core features and goals that will underpin development over 2026 and into 2027. Scroll further down to see some of the smaller quality-of-life improvements also planned.
Secure bundles with end-to-end encryption
Currently, bundles and notes are only encrypted at rest and in transit, like Notion and other apps. I know this isn't good enough, and I know how important end-to-end encryption is for all users, so getting this done is my #1 priority. I have a plan which I will share soon, seeking feedback.
ETA: Q3/Q4 2026Account & data portability
In other words: improved options for importing and exporting your data. For all users - not just Pro.
ETA: Q2 2026Nested organisation
Richer organisation options are planned, including: global tags, linking to other bundles/notes, inline references to other notes, the ability to group bundles, filter shortcuts to open bundles with pre-selected tags/searches, and more.
ETA: Multiple features between Q2 2026 and into 2027Web app excellence
The web app needs to be a Pro tool, so I am planning a whole suite of improvements and new features. Filter the list below to see the web features planned.
ETA: Multiple features between Q2 2026 and into 2027Shared Bundles
A natural next step for the app is to allow users to share bundles with other users - like for a family grocery list, a shared collection, or a group uni project.
ETA: Q4 2026Please note that the roadmap and ETAs aren't promises, and are subject to change*
The rest...
These are the small & medium features that will fill the gaps, as the pillars progress.
Stay tuned
This page is still in progress - I still have to sort through all my notes and lists and add everything here!
The medium stuff
These are the moderately sized features that fill the gaps between the pillars. There are no ETAs for these, but they are all planned.
Global tags
Share tags across different bundles
Secret organisation feature
I'm planning a core organisation feature that will unlock a lot of potential for power users.
Improved markdown
Improve markdown support and standardise the format for better compatibility.
APIs / MCP integrations
Integrations for Pro users.
Assistant integrations
Use assistants for natural-language notes and reminders.
The small stuff
These are the small features that fill the gaps and will likely come along in random updates here and there. There are no ETAs for these, but they are all planned.
Link to other bundles/entries as attachments
Inline attachments
Highlighting + underlining text
Auto-number reordering
Note locking
Different from the E2EE pillar - to prevent certain bundles or notes from being seen by anyone who has access to your unlocked device.
One day... but not yet
These are features I'd love to add one day, but which aren't currently planned. This could change, so check back later!
Drawing
Drawing is a great idea - but unfortunately not feasible for me to do alone right now.
Tables
Tables are a powerful way to structure information, and would be a great addition to notes - but for now I'm focused on organisation at the bundle-level.
